Wch 2023 Spain
World Championships
& World Masters Dryland 2023

Required vaccinations for all dogs, including dogs not racing:
Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Adenovirus-2 (Hepatitis and tracheo-bronchitis), Parvovirus and "Kennel cough" (Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica).

All vaccines must have been administered more than 21 days before the official day of opening of the stake-out (NOT the day when the dog starts to race!). Validity of vaccinations as stated in the dog’s passport. To evaluate the validity of vaccinations ONLY the "dog passport" or the "dog vaccination booklet" will be taken in consideration. These documents must show for each vaccination the date of injection with the stamp and the signature of the veterinarian who did it.

Note 1) Kennel cough vaccinations have to protect against BOTH Parainfluenza AND Bordetella bronchiseptica (as with INTRANASAL or INJECTABLE vaccines). Only if the dog is protected with an injectable vaccine against Parainfluenza given not longer than 1 year before (as in DHPPi vaccine), then the ORAL vaccine for Bordetella bronchiseptica is accepted.

Note 2
) Both L2 and L4 will be accepted vaccinations for Leptospirosis.

According to the current regulations of the local Agricultural Health Authorities of the Community of Castilla Leon (Spain), it is mandatory for the dogs, including dogs not racing, deworming against Echinoccocus in period of 6 month, prior to the end of the event.
The deworming must be signed and stamped in the passport (or health card), by authorized veterinarian. The period of time with validity for deworming must be clearly written in the passport/health card.
Example: If the deworming will be done on the dates after June 27, 2023 it will have a validity until December 27, 2023.

If the deworming has been done earlier, the dates for deworming have to cover the dates for the WCh and WM.

The specific rules concerning deworming from the Community of Castilla - Leon can be found here in English / here in Spanish.
