General:

Länsi- Suomen Valjakkourheilijat (L-SVU) is a club established 1991 and is located in Jämijärvi, a small municipality located in Satakunta- region Western part of Finland.
L-SVU is an active club organizing several races both in Dryland and Sleddog Sprint, various events in forms of camps, training seminars etc.
Current trails, in which the World Championships and Masters will be held, have been in use for several years and those have been proven to be pleasant and safe. Trails are in constant use as L-SVU organizes weekly training events in the trails. Trails are safe and wide enough also for the biggest and fastest Rig- teams and allows safe overtaking as well.

Parking and stake- out areas:

The venue has 4 possible stake- out areas. All the stake- outs have relatively easy access to the start- and finish lines.

Availability of conveniences at race site:

Racesite is located in Jämi outdoor activity center. In the middle of the race site is a hotel that offers food and beverages. In the hotel there are 4 toilets. Jämi Areena, which would act as the race office also, has 8 toilets. Water is available in several places.

In the race venue is located a small hotel and several rental cabins (dozens of cabins with totally over 500 beds) which are located within few minutes drive from the venue https://jami.fi/majoitus/mokit/ The cabins in general has own private yards and most of them welcome dogs also ( 25 minutes driving from race venue is located the town of Kankaanpää which has multiple choices for lodging. Also 25 minutes from the race venue is the town of Ikaalinen that also has lots of accommodation capacity.

Länsi- Suomen valjakkourheilijat will produce a livestream from the event. Camera coverage can handle start- and finish line + some cameras from the trail. Livestream is hosted by a sportscaster throughout the event. Example from live streaming from a race held in spring 2026

Rules etc.

It is strictly forbidden to use drones during the event and at the event area. Violations of this order will result in immediate disqualification from the event and removal from the event area immediately.
It is strictly forbidden during this event to allow dogs to run loose at the event site, stake-out area and event parking lots. Loose dogs are only permitted within personal containment areas (fenced areas around competitor`s vehicle) in the designated stake-out area. Refusal to respect this requirement may lead to disqualification from the event.
